What is the advantage of Fenu-C+?
Thanks to its unique technology, with Fenu-C+ the vitamin C level of our body can be maintained at a high level much more conveniently than with other vitamin C supplements.
In addition, by using it, such high, so called supraphysiological vitamin levels can be achieved that cannot be reached with any traditional vitamin C preparations. As a result, it can even replace intravenous vitamin C, but it can also be used as a supplement to it.
As a further advantage, it can be mentioned that it can also be safely taken by those who are concerned that high dose vitamin C may cause kidney stones. This concern is quite unfounded in itself, but even more so in the case of Fenu-C+, since approximately one tenth as much vitamin C intake is sufficient to maintain the same blood vitamin C level throughout the day, and much less passes through the kidneys. In the case of traditional vitamin C, precisely because of its rapid excretion by the kidneys, large amounts and frequent intake are required to maintain the appropriate blood level, meaning a large amount passes through the urinary tract.
What makes Fenu-C+ special?
Fenu-C+ is a vitamin C product processed with so called Hybrid FenuMAT technology. The term hybrid appears in its name because during production two modern methods are used together, both of which enhance its utilization.
First, vitamin C is encapsulated into appropriately small liposomes with 95 percent efficiency, while even professionally prepared liposomal vitamin C products typically achieve only 30 to 60 percent efficiency.
These vitamin C loaded liposomes are then further processed using the so called FenuMAT technology, which means that they are incorporated into a matrix formed from a special fiber derived from fenugreek seeds. As a result, a hydrocolloid system containing vitamin C encapsulated in liposomes is created, which is then freeze dried. Only sunflower lecithin and fenugreek seed fiber are used for this process.
Through FenuMAT technology, using ultrasound, a matrix structure is created from special fibers derived from fenugreek seeds for the active ingredients, which functions as a so called reversible hydrocolloid system. This represents a new generation of absorption enhancing colloid technologies. In the case of several active ingredients, it is even more effective than liposomal technologies.
What is the strength of vitamin C processed with Hybrid FenuMAT technology?
Fenu-C+ has more than 600 percent utilization compared to regular vitamin C, while liposomal vitamin C typically shows only 10 to 79 percent improvement. To understand this, it is important to consider how vitamin C behaves in the body.
Absorption and excretion of vitamin C
The human body excretes vitamin C depending on its blood level. If the blood level of vitamin C (ascorbate) is above 60 to 70 µM per liter, then its half life is about half an hour, meaning its level decreases rapidly and it is quickly eliminated. However, if it does not reach this level, the half life can be measured in weeks.
It is one thing what proportion of the ingested amount appears in the blood, but independently of this, it also matters how long it remains present. Fenu-C+ and various liposomal vitamin C products deliver vitamin C into the bloodstream and into the cells differently from traditional forms, thereby bypassing its rapid elimination even at high blood levels.
Different solutions can be compared based on how much and for how long they can increase blood levels.
The greatest strength of FenuMAT technology is increasing tissue levels, as it was specifically developed for this purpose.
With this technology, an effect can be achieved that not only delivers active ingredients into the bloodstream bypassing the liver, the digestive system, and the associated neutralizing enzyme systems, but also does so in a steady and prolonged manner, allowing all cells of our body, including brain cells, to absorb as much as possible and enabling delivery to cellular organelles.
Effect on blood vitamin C levels
Fenu-C+ is capable of significantly increasing blood vitamin C levels and maintaining elevated concentrations for several hours, even at relatively low doses.
In contrast, traditional vitamin C typically results in lower peak levels and a much shorter duration in the bloodstream, even when taken in larger amounts.
Comparison with traditional and liposomal vitamin C
Based on the above, it can be stated that in the case of traditional vitamin C, very large amounts are required to achieve and maintain high blood levels, and even then only for a short period of time. This is why it is common practice to take vitamin C several times a day in divided doses.
In the case of liposomal vitamin C, the situation is somewhat more favorable, but here too there can be significant differences depending on the quality of the product, especially the efficiency of encapsulation.
To achieve a similar effect to Fenu-C+, based on available data, it may be necessary to take between 1000 mg and 36000 mg of liposomal vitamin C, depending on its quality.
What vitamin C level can be considered optimal?
The question of what vitamin C level can be considered optimal is not entirely clear, as it depends on several factors.
Based on available data, higher blood vitamin C levels are associated with lower risk of disease and mortality.
For a healthy person, maintaining a blood level of approximately 150 to 200 µM per liter may be sufficient, but in the case of illness, stress, or injury, the demand may increase significantly.
How can optimal vitamin C levels be maintained?
With traditional vitamin C, maintaining such levels would require very large amounts and frequent intake, which is not practical.
Based on the available information, 0.7 grams of Fenu-C+ can maintain a blood vitamin C level of 150 to 200 µM per liter for 6 to 8 hours. By taking it 2 to 3 times a day, this level can be maintained throughout the entire day.
Supraphysiological vitamin C levels
In certain cases, it may be justified to achieve higher than normal vitamin C levels, but this should always be done under medical supervision.
Fenu-C+ makes it possible to achieve such levels more efficiently, producing higher and longer lasting blood concentrations with lower doses.
Summary
Fenu-C+ is a vitamin C preparation that allows for more efficient utilization of vitamin C.
Its advantages include higher bioavailability, longer lasting blood levels, and the ability to achieve higher vitamin levels with lower doses.
